1998 Toyota Rav4.1 3dr FreeSport Front Door Speaker Installation - United Kingdom

JBL GTO628 (2.0625" depth) Speakers Installed

"The bracket was a straight swap into my 1998 3dr Toyota Rav4 (4.1) front doors, and allowed me to install 6.5" (Well.. '6 3/4"' actually, JBL GT0628) into the same position that the original OEM smaller speakers were. The materials on the bracket were very cooperative with any alterations I needed to do and they feel solid and well constructed. If you're worried about protecting the speaker from raindrops inside the door then you'll need to craft your own canopy (see my tutorial). <br />

Front door speakers made more of a difference than i'd have though, adding much more bass while also spreading the soundstage on the highs throughout the car, rather than the rears throwing them all into my ear. All I need to do now is find where all the shaking & rattling is coming from on the interior plastics and cushion/restrain them somehow!<br />
